Monthly Lesson Plans

Primary Music lessons should complement the Sharing Time messages.   Some months, the song is chosen by church leadership and some months are left for you and your presidency to choose together.  Unless otherwise stated, you should try to teach all verses of the monthly song.

I prefer to teach the monthly song as quickly as possible- ideally in one to two weeks.  I use one of the remaining weeks to play a Repetition Game (to perfect the current month's song) and one week to play a Choosing Game (to review all of the monthly songs from the past year).  If I have time left, I teach a short song that works with the weekly Sharing Time theme or choose an activity related to the season.

On the pages linked below, I've listed ALL the ideas I can think of.  Choose those that work best for you and have
 fun!
