2015 Songs Have Been Announced

If you have the mobile LDS Library app, you can see the new 2015 Outline for Sharing Time and Sacrament Meeting Presentation.  I haven't seen it on lds.org yet, but I would assume that it will be available there soon.

(2010 Outline Cover)

The theme for the year is "I KnowMy Savior Lives" and the songs are as follows

January:  I Know that My Savior Loves Me
February:  He Sent His Son
March:  Follow the Prophet
April:  The Church of Jesus Christ
May:  Song of your choice
June:  The Holy Ghost
July:  Come, Follow Me (Hymns)
August:  Song of your choice

    2. " I'm trying to be like Jesus " would be good for either of those.

I am kind of bummed that some songs are repeats from this year. I would rather new songs lol. Oh well.. the primary will know them well now.

    3. My thoughts exactly Lori. I've been in Primary for 5 years now and it would be nice to have different songs. I know we can teach the kids other songs but there is such a limited amount of time to teach them.

    4. I'm not sure if my last post went through, I was suggesting a song called, "I'm Following My Savior" for the May theme. I apologize if this is a repeat post. I was just called as a chorister, so my first time visiting this site for ideas. A link to the song in question, from the lds.org site is here: http://www.lds.org/bc/content/shared/content/english/pdf/music/submitted/bartlett_im_following_my_savior_eng.pdf

    5. May - When I Am Baptized (CS 103)
      August - I Feel My Savior's Love (CS 74-75)
I am new to the whole chorister thing too but on those 2 months I just prayed and picked what I felt was right.

    6. Although we may have been serving in Primary for a long time and remember the repeated songs, if they haven't been sung since the last presentation, only the older children will likely know or remember them.

    7. So I made an Excels spread sheet and tracked which songs had been sung on which weeks. This made it so much easier keeping track of what we had practiced and when. The spreadsheet lists each song in the Childrens' Song Book, and songs sourced from the Hymnal or the Friend. The title of each song is hyperlinked to LDS.org, so if I have a hard time remembering, or struggle with the timing, I can click on the link and presto-chango! There is the song.

    1. Alesia I do my own, and it makes a world of difference. I put the months by the titles for the CD cover, and encourage parents to play them for FHE each week.

    2. Where do you go for copies of each song that you're allowed to burn to a disc?

  6. I have been called to be the Primary Music Leader and I don't know how to sing, don't know how to read music note etc but I'm grateful for all the website lds thag help me with my learning.

Just a question, do we have to follow the theme of every month for our songs choice or we do it our way (whatever song we feel)
